On 3 July 2024, three members of AIBE's Board held an institutional meeting with the Consul-General of Italy in São Paulo, Domenico Fornara, to discuss opportunities for strengthening academic and scientific cooperation between Brazil and Italy in the field of economics.

During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on the growing presence of Brazilian researchers in Italian universities and research centers, as well as the increasing number of collaborative projects and coauthored publications between economists from both countries.

The conversation highlighted the role of AIBE in organizing academic events and supporting initiatives that encourage joint research and mobility.
